Cinnamon Roll Waffle Recipe

I’ve been dying for a waffle make ever since I had amazing waffles in Chicago a few weeks ago! Logan & my mom surprised me with the perfect sized mini waffle maker. I’ve made waffles literally every day since I got it. Plain waffles, chocolate chip waffles, egg & veggie waffles, cauliflower & spinach waffles, cinnamon roll waffles. We are waffle crazy right now!

Yesterday I made cinnamon roll waffles for the kid’s after school treat and they LOVED them! I used the recipe from the mini cookbook that came with the waffle maker. I used whole wheat flour & almond milk & they turned out great!

Cinnamon Roll Waffles:

Makes 6 waffles

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • tbsp melted butter or vegetable oil
  • 1¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Cream Cheese Icing:

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tbsp milk

Make the Classic Waffles batter (see recipe on page 14). Stir in the cinnamon and ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract. Pour ¼ cup of the batter into the Mini Maker Waffle and cook until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter. In a medium bowl, mix the butter and cream cheese until well-combined. Stir in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Drizzle the icing over the waffles and serve warm.

So there you go! If you try the recipe I’d love to know what you think!
